Mary P. Ray was graduated with honors in 2005 from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s in English and Religious Studies. She then worked in bookstores, including the United States’ largest importer of French comics (bandes dessinées, BD). If she had a superpower she would want to generate and control fire. After realizing this wasn’t happening, she decided on the next best thing, becoming a lawyer. She is a Southwestern Law School 3L, with legal interests in the intersection of law with privacy, technology, and property rights, as well as in social justice. She is co-chair of Law Students for Reproductive Justice.
